Funny Ontario Superior Court Decision

Jezebel has picked up on a story about an Ontario divorce decision that is going viral. Ontario Superior Court Judge Joseph Quinn -- no, not the Joseph Quinn from Dexter pictured here -- slammed a couple for "marinating in a mutual hatred so intense as to surely amount to a personality disorder."

The judge also pronounced the idea of reconciliation "laughable," mentioning the wife's attempt to run the husband over as — "always a telltale sign that a husband and wife are drifting apart."

Further evidence? The husband's habit of giving his wife's house the bird whenever he passed. Observed Quinn, "a finger is worth a thousand words and therefore, is particularly useful should one have a vocabulary of less than a thousand words." Ouch!

The Wire Monopoly

How f-ing cool is this? Unfortunately, it's not for sale.

A British comedy publication has created a Monopoly board inspired by David Simon's HBO series “The Wire.”

A satirical article at thepoke.co.uk purports that Hasbro, the toy and game company, has joined forces with Mr. Simon’s series about the wide-reaching tentacles of drugs and corruption in urban Baltimore.

Man Dancing in Dufferin Mall No Frills

This has absolutely nothing to do with style, but I had to post! I used to live near the Dufferin Mall and it was always a great source of comedy gold. More here.

Mug Shot

Oh man, could this be any funnier? I think this tops the Gino Reda mug I bought last NHL Trade Deadline. I did not think that was possible! You can order the mugs here. Hat tip: Nylon Mag Blog.

Snoop Dogg tried to rent Liechtenstein

Oh man, I've always found Liechtenstein hilarious for some reason. The only times it's ever really come up are (1) a case in international law class, (2) when Switzerland accidentally invaded them, and (3) when my friend Jeff told me that he's been there and they have a Hooters.

Naturally, I'm happy to report (4) Snoop Dogg tried to rent the entire country for one of his video shoots. Even funnier, it probably would have worked, if he had just given them enough time.

Candy maker issues chocolate bonds

The CBC has a funny story about how British confectioner Hotel Chocolat hopes to raise the equivalent of $7.3 million by issuing bonds in which the payments are made not in money but in chocolate.

The U.K. chocolatier is taking advantage of low interest rates to fund its expansion plans. Under the scheme, 100,000 of its Tasting Club members — who already pay for home deliveries — will be offered the opportunity to put up between 2,000 and 4,000 British pounds ($3,000 and $6,000 Cdn) for a three-year "chocolate bond." The less expensive bond earns the buyer a delivery of 18 pounds ($27 Cdn) worth of chocolate every two months, the equivalent of a 6.72 per cent yield. A larger investment earns 7.29 per cent, because the same shipment will come monthly.

I look forward to reading their candy-coated prospectus.

Star Wars Pancake Molds

Williams Sonoma has struck inter-galactic gold with these. A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, a Jedi Kitchen Master created an epic breakfast to unleash the power of his Jedi Padawan. Using the Force, he created three pancake molds in honor of his favorite galactic heroes and villains: Yoda, Darth Vader and a stormtrooper. More here.

Tea Submarine

I'm not much of a tea drinker, but if I was, this would be the coolest thing in a while. It's a tiny yellow plastic submarine that's actually a tea strainer. I feel like sound effects would also be necessary when using this goodie. More here.

Food Fight Breaks Out in Ukrainian Parliament

Lowering the Bar picked up a hilarious story about a food fight breaking out in the Ukrainian Parliament. During a recent battle over whether Russia's lease on the naval base at Sevastopol would be extended, opposition lawmakers set off smoke bombs in the chamber and threw eggs at Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn. Lytvyn took shelter under an umbrella and kept working as the eggs continued to fly.

Countess LuAnn de Lesseps - New Single

Oh the Countess has struck gold again with this hilarious new song! Last night on Bravo's live show Watch What Happens, Real Housewives' the Countess performed a snippet of her new song (unfinished) "Chic, C'est la Vie," which she describes as "spoken word over a Saint-Tropez beat." Oh man, this is awesomely bad. Click through to Jezebel to watch the video here.

Dr. Phil Shaves his Moustache

I've recently discovered the LA Times fashion blog "All the Rage" - it's great. Today, they've got a story on Dr. Phil shaving his moustache. Awesome. I don't even know why he shaved it (ratings?) but it's definitely important news. Ha!

Safety Pints + Trump U

Lowering the Bar has two awesomely ridiculous stories:

(#1) Forget about the election, the real important story in Britain is about pint glasses. The British government has been trying to keep British people from trying to kill each other with them. So much so, that they've designed and are now testing a new pint glass.

(#2) Someone actually willingly chose to pay $60,000 to attend Trump University. And - shockingly - it was a bad idea. Now they've decided to sue the Donald.

New GPS Voices

You can now get Star Wars voices for your GPS. Well, only if you have a Tom Tom. Booo! We just ditched our old Tom Tom for a Garmin a few months ago. There are some voices from the official Garmin website, but they all look pretty weak except the Dr. Nightmare one, which is funny-ish.

Wait, I just found this site, which has AMAZING voices. Ha! OMG, I must have Delexus Hennessey direct me around town. And also, David Hasselhoff. Oh, this is the best site ever!

Twitter - LeBronsElbow

A Twitter account entitled LeBronsElbow has sprung up on Twitter, providing random updates on the status of the NBA’s most examined body part. An unknown person began the account, shortly after Cleveland’s star attempted a left-handed free throw in the NBA playoffs because of his injured elbow.

So, even though LeBron's not talking, but his elbow is tweeting. More here.

Countess LuAnn de Lesseps

OMG this is the worst/best thing I've heard in ages! Countess LuAnn de Lesseps of the Real Housewives of New York has put out the most unintentionally hilarious dance single.

You can hear it here. Oh man, she also has this awesome website.

Jezebel describes it best:
"Real Housewife LuAnn De Lesseps has officially entered the musical canon with her new song, 'Money Can't Buy You Class.' Simply put, it's a masterwork of spoken-word WASPiness and forceful autotuning."

Oh also, remember Kim Zolciak's single Tardy for the Party? That was good, too.

And, don't forget Jo de la Rosa - "You Can't Control Me."

Mike Babcock's hair

This is so funny! Turns out Mike Babcock's hair has it's own facebook page.
And, so does his McGill tie. Amazing. Both pictured below.

When I look at this picture, I imagine Mike asking "Does your hair have a facebook page? I didn't think so." Full story here.

Bonnie Hunt

I was procrastinating today, watching The Bonnie Hunt show. Anyway, I found this Real Housewives of Atlanta parody she did featuring Kim & Nene. It's awesome! The way Neicy Nash says "Key-m" is golden.

Better Way To Cupcake

I recently, started reading the Tosh.O blog. It's hella funny. He found this post online and wrote about it.

"When I saw this diagram of how to turn a cupcake into a cream sandwich from the blog Dispatches from the Island, it blew my mind. How the hell have I gone my entire life never having seen this? Things like this always remind me of the first time someone pointed out that little holder under the gas nozzle so you don't have to squeeze the handle while you pump your gas. For years, I had been standing there squeezing the thing like a moron when I could have been wandering around enjoying a cigar.Just goes to show you we're all one hyperlink away from realizing we are idiots. Me especially."

Ninja Win

Fail Blog has a hilarious post here.

Do ninja's ever cease to be awesomely funny? Answer: hell no!

Candace Bushnell

Times Online has an in depth interview with "Sex and the City" creator Candace Bushnell. The article aims to discuss how different the two women are, but since I knew so little about Bushnell before reading the piece, I ended up learning how similar they are. Notice they even have the same initials? C.B.

Either way, I love the photo of her, she looks so relaxed and fabulous.
